AWANA HIghlight 12-7-11

We hope you are working through the Advent calendar your Sparkie started on December 1^st.   The calendar is a wonderful every day reminder of the anticipation leading up to God’s Promised Gift to us for the salvation from our sins.  We pray amongst the hustle and bustle of the days ahead you can have a peace celebrating our Savior.  Tonight and next week in Sparks we are focusing on that very celebration.   The first four books of the New Testament in the Bible focus on recording the birth, life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus – all in a different perspective.   We cannot celebrate Christmas just as celebrating His birth, but we should be celebrating His life, death and resurrection with the blessed hope that He is one day coming again to take those who have placed their faith in Him for their salvation to live eternally with Him in Heaven!  There is just one more meeting of Sparks next week, and then Wednesday December 21^st is our AWANA Christmas Party for parents and kids.  Please plan to come!  AWANA then takes a break until January 4^th.
